Pampering on a budget

In these tough economic times pampering yourself can be incredibly expensive if you can manage to find the time to do so at all. With pampering weekends at country spas and the like being the current trend for stressed career women trying to escape the city, what options are there for women, particularly full-time mums, who do not have the time or budget to cover such an opulent getaway? Well, don't worry, there are many ways of giving yourself a bit of me-time without breaking the bank, indeed many of these are things that you may consider doing ordinarily but never just quite find the time for.

One of the best things you can do, one of the things that many of the luxury spa days are based around, is to relax by having a nice, hot bath all to yourself.  Best of all, it's completely free; it may not seem like much but you would be amazed how much more relaxed you feel after a good soak with a nice smelling bubble bath. If you must, why not spend just a little on an extra special scent or bath bomb to make your half-hour soak that little bit more relaxing. 

Why not be pampered at home?

On a similar theme, if you fancy being treated to a nice meal instead of having to knock something up yourself but don't have the time or money for a full restaurant meal out, why not get your other half to cook up a meal for you at home and celebrate your night off with a good bottle of wine? You can indulge yourself by getting just as glammed up as you would if you were going out, posh frock, jewellery, the works; even though you're still at home it always makes you feel more confident and relaxed when you get dressed up.

If you really want to relax and don't want any fuss or bother whatsoever, there is nothing better than sitting down with a cup of tea and enjoying your favourite TV or radio show for an hour.  It may not seem like much but this little oasis of time dedicated to you in a busy daily schedule can do wonders for reducing your stress levels and improving feelings of well-being. However you want to relax, and on whatever budget, keeping time aside for relaxation will do wonders for you.
